This past weekend was lot's of fun followed up by a day of sleeping to recoup some of the energy I lost (or never had)!
Friday night started with dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory with my parents, sibling and grandmother. You know that you come from a large family when you all go out to dinner to a restaraunt that only takes call ahead seat for large parties and your family qualifies ( there are 9 of us total and 1o total if you include Paxton who tags along as well). It's quite scary to say the least. Dinner was great the service not so!
After dinner my sister, brother-in-law, brother, his friend, and myself went and saw the new Batman movie which was really good but very violent! To add to the freakiness of the movie we saw it at Opry Mills and didn't leave till 12:01 am. Not sure which was scarier, being at Opry Mills that late or the movie? You make the call!
On Saturday we all packed up and went to Beech Bend for the day. This was Paxton's first time there and first real outing somewhere like that since Baby Marron was born 4 weeks ago. He had a blast and was almost robotlike. You couldn't stop him! After a long, hot day and lots of people and lines we headed home! Paxton was hilarious when I asked him if he was going to take a nap, his response " I don't think so, there's a possiblity I just might miss something!". I thought my sister and I were going to fall over from laughing!
On to the next thing, I ran home (not literally but it felt like it), threw everything wet into the laundry room, took a quick shower and went to meet the youth group at the Red Robin. After a fabulous burger (thanks to Angela), the kids walked around, and Angela, Missy, and I went shopping and then on to Batman (again). It was still very freaky but did not catch me as off guard as the 1st time! I finally made it home about 9:30 to end my 15 hour day!
On to Sunday which I might add is the day that my body prefers to sleep rather than wake up at 5:30 like every other day. I was supposed to make these really cute butterfly and flower cupcakes for Ashley's shower but after the last 2 days I did not have the energy to do so. Off to Publix at 7:00, I purchased chocolate and vanilla mini cupcakes which are really cute with the picks in them to match your shower theme. Once I get pictures I will post!
In my sleep induced haze I got him to gather everythign up and get ready for church. I left in a hurry thinking I had everything. Got to church and realized I forgot the napkins and plates. I'm co-teaching the high school group so I had to stay so as soon as Sunday School was over I zipped out and ran to Wal-Mart and made it back in the last 30 minutes of church (dont tell anyone)! If your needing cute shower stuff check out the Martha Stewart stuff, it is too cute!!!
When church ended we headed to Las Maraces, set up the shower, and headed to Antioch for the teens swimming party and devo. Did I also mention that I was having the Teen Girls over that night?!?! We ended up leaving the pool at 8:00 with 11 teenage girls and 3 moms. It ended up being a blast and I did learn that though I think Maddie can be loud, she has nothing on Erin Bauer. Erin has one voice level and that is LOUD! All the girls fell asleep about 2:00 and did not wake up until around 9:30 at which time we loaded them and took them to Waffle House. A fun end to a fun night!
Needing some much relaxation I thought I would go get a pedicure after I went home and laid down for a little while. I got home laid down but never got the pedicure, I think I caught Amy's organization zeal b/c I did nothing but clean and move furniture in my bedroom, clean up after the girls and do laundry! I must have been more tired than I realized b/c I've been in bed the last 2 nights before the sun goes down!
Sorry for the rambling!

Sounds like a crazy, but fun weekend!
Oh man, that is one weekend. I heard the shower was cute but I was asleep during the whole thing! I would love to see pics!
