So, my grandmother got to come today which is about 2.5 weeks earlier than we thought. She has done really well and is able to move around with the walker. We have reorganized the house and it kind of looks cluttered (which being the clean freak drives me crazy) but it's only for about 6 weeks until we know her hip hip and femur won't seperate from bending or reaching to high.
So about being a nurse. As some of you know, I can have a rather sarcastic tongue when I want to ecspecially more so with nurses and doctors lately but last night I went to the rehab center for the nurse to show me how to administer the blood thinners in my grandmothers stomach. I think she , no I know she doubted my abilities but when you have had as much done to my body as I have then shots are no biggie and I could do it in my sleep! Well not only did she doubt my ability but the discharge nurse did as well, no let me rephrase that, she all but told my grandmother I probably wouldn't be able to do it. Now would YOU want someone giving a shot with nurses saying those things?!?!? Everyone will be glad to know that earned the best nurse award tonight when I gave the shot b/c she never even felt it ( and yes for those synic's it didn't actually go in her skin) which I know for a fact after watching her wince when the nurses did it that they caused her pain and I didn't!!!!! That would be my happy and victorious moment of the day. If only I could call those nurses and gloat to them :)
