30 in 30: Only 10 days to go :)

10 Days!  That is all I have left to I say goodbye to my 20's and welcome my 30's with open arms.  There was a time when it bothered me to think of getting older but the older I get the more confident and comfortable I get in my own skin and welcome that with open arms!  Without further a do, here is an update on where I stand with my 30 in 30:

Done
Currently in Progress
Happening during my 30th “year”

1. Have started the process of adoption (fundraising, etc)
2. Take a Mission Trip – Saving for this for next summer so maybe a late b-day present to myself???
3. Weekend trip to Chicago -  Plan & Hotel are booked to celebrate my 30th in the Windy City!
4. Have my car paid off- Not going to happen by my birthday but definitely during my 30th "year".
5. Survive Menopause - with the exception of an occasional hotflash I think I've climbed this mountain and succeeded with NO hormones!
6. Rent a lake house for the weekend - Still thinking on this one.
7. Eat Sweet CeCe's everday for a entire week
8. Go a whole week with no Sweet Tea (yes I'm that addicted to it)
9. Give up something for lent and give it up the entire time.
10. Read 1 faith based book a month at a minimum - should be no problem.  I'm kind of cheating since I'll be reading Beth Moore's James study through March though there are a few others I'm wanting to read that I can throw in there.
11. Get a tattoo- this will be happening either next week or the week after.  Waiting on my brother-in-law to decide what he wants to get :).
12. Get in the best shape of my life - work in progress, I have lost 10 lbs, yay me!
13. Go see a movie by myself- Not sure when this is going to happen.  I guess when a movie comes out that I want to see.
14. Help a stranger
15. Open my heart - I doubt myself but I think this has happened because I'm perfectly okay with my singleness and I think you have be completely ok in this state to be open to possibilities!
16. Go tubing - definitely didn't happen this winter considering we really didn't have a winter
17. Go on a sleigh ride. - see above
18. Meet my niece
19. Go to the pool/a waterpark without feeling self conscious
20. Be in the process or have bought my first house
21. Attend Women of Faith – Maybe Next Year, There was a scheduling conflict that turned out not to happen
22. Buy a coach purse (maybe 2 J)
23. Take an impromptu weekend trip
24. Run/Walk the Susan G Komen 3 day race - I will be doing this in October!  Yay me!  - I didn’t do the 3 day because I had Sinus Surgery but I am training for the half marathon!
25. Take a class outside of my comfort level - This would be the scrapbooking class I'm doing every month.  I love anything with fabric, paint, and wood but to do something with paper that doesn't involve modge podge is definitely not something I'm good at and is slightly out of my comfort zone.
26. Grow my hair to at least shoulder length -  12/9, YAY ME!!!!
27. Let my nails grow - I do and then I stress and I bite them off little by little, it's an ugly cycle!
28. Go to at least 2 concerts
29. Spend an entire weekend doing absolutely nothing
30. Start a party planning business - I wouldn't say I've started one but I'm definitely building a portfolio of events :)

I think you're amazing, and I'm excited to get to know you better. You seem to be one of those people whose sweet spirit makes the room more comfortable to be in. :)

Thank you Sara, I'm really looking forward to getting to know you as well. I love your blog and it is so incredibly inspiring. I love that your so open and real in a world that can be so fake and close off everything but the good.
