Thankful

We've started a new sermon series on Sunday morning at church titled "The Church We Want to Be".  I have actually been looking forward to it for several weeks.  You see, our church has gone through a lot of changes and valleys over the last few years.  We've had families move their membership, we've had families place membership.  We've had a Minister and Youth Minister leave, we've hired a new Minister.  Lot's and lot's of changes.  Somewhere along the way it seemed like we lost our direction a little bit but I think Tommy is going to change that.

I look forward to hearing more lessons of truth, about what we should be doing as workers for God to further his kingdom no matter or age, race, sex, disability.  We all play a part and it's time we all were working together.  Granted this all from my own personal perspective but it has a tired, worn down worker rejuvenated and ready to work full speed ahead.

This past Sunday, Tommy mentioned a book titled "One Thousand Gifts: Finding Joy is What Really Matters".   He challenged us to start making a list of things that we are thankful for, things that God has blessed us with.  On Monday morning, our church FB page starting filling up with things that people are thankful for and has contiued to do so.  I'm hoping that it continues to do so until September 9th and beyond.  I'm eager to continue to add to my list of the things I'm thankful for in life.  I encourage you to do so as well.  You just might learn that life isn't so bad and God is pretty awesome!

What are your 1000 gifts???

Jordan,

So glad things are looking up for the congregation there. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know.

Blessings,

Terry
